I recently started caring for terminally ill people and was inspired by one family . The lady who died had loved travelling . There was so many places she had not been to. Her childern [in their thirties] devised a plan and every other day or so they would visit a different country in the confines of her home. Everyone who visited would be invited to dress up in the style of that country and the national dish would be cooked and served. There where some interesting photos of her husband in a grass skirt not to mention other outfits. Obviously not every family could do this  but I just thought it was such a possitive way to cope . Dont know if this helps anyone, but would love to hear other peoples stories of how they create positive memories.
