Hi I'm new to this site but I would like to know if there are any support groups running in the Liverpool area. thank you

Hi Brigette

I have gone through radium treatment for lung cancer, I also have Emphysema. I am really interested in a support group that can help with my breathing problems, I do take inhalers but struggle with being out of breath ever time I move.

Thanks for getting back to me with more details. You may find some information that will help you in our booklet “Breathing easier”: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/publications/breathing-easier. It may also be worth finding out what day services are available from your local hospice. Our Liverpool Hospice offers many day services which you can find here: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/hospice-care/hospices/liverpool/services/day-services. If you wanted to be referred to any of them you would need to ask your GP to do that for you.

Thank you Brigette,  I will practice the breathing, I did take the contact of Macmillan Support Group when I was at the hospital last week.
