I
am sorry for delay in my response to you. It can be very natural and normal for
people to feel afraid of the final stages of their illness. Is the person able
to pinpoint exactly what it is they are afraid of: being alone? Being in pain? Or
something else? If they are able to articulate their fears, a professional such
as a nurse, doctor, spiritual leader etc. might be able to help in some way.
it is also
worth knowing that people’s fears are often different from the reality.
