There can be a lot if information to process when reading about medical procedures and can appreciate you wanting some help with this. However, here at the community forum we do not have medically trained staff to offer any guidance about this I am afraid.
We are aware that Cancer Research UK have nurses available on their support line on 0808 800 4040 that may be able to offer you further information. They also have an ‘Ask the nurses’ section within their online community. I have included the link for you here: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancer-chat/taxonomy/term/6
You may also wish to know you can also ‘Ask An Expert’ within the online community at Macmillan, you can follow the link here: https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancerexperiences/asktheexpert/
Understandably you have concerns about what your mum is facing on Monday, and our Freephone Support Line is also here to offer a listening ear and emotional support, you can call us on 0800 090 2309, or get in touch with us through our web chat function here:
