Hello Ladyp
I’m sorry to read about the recent loss of your mum and to hear that you
are not coping.
Grief can bring with it many different emotions and
it’s not uncommon to feel lost or disconnected from reality. It is important to know that you don’t have to
go through bereavement alone. We have some information about getting support on
our website here: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/support/bereaved-family-friends/dealing-grief/bereavement-or-grief-counselling
Are there any friends or
family that you would feel comfortable talking about your feelings with? Some
people choose to confide in people that they already have a connection with,
whilst others choose to speak to someone that they don’t know. Knowing who you
can get in touch with when you are feeling alone or that you can’t cope can
sometimes be a comfort. There are many charities out there that offer a
listening ear and emotional support, with our Freephone Support Line being one
of them. If you want to talk to us, our telephone number can be found below.
You may already be aware
of an organisation called Cruse. They are there to offer bereavement support
over the telephone, via email and face to face. We often hear that talking
aloud or sharing experiences can be helpful. To see what local support may be
available in your area such as bereavement support groups, you can contact
Cruse directly by calling 0808 808 1677 or you can visit their website by
clicking here: https://www.cruse.org.uk/cruse-areas-and-branches
Coping with grief whilst
managing your own illness can be difficult. It’s important to take time to look
after yourself. We feature information about how you can help to look after
yourself on our website here: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/support/bereaved-family-friends/dealing-grief/looking-after-yourself
If you would like to talk about things in more
detail please call our Freephone Support Line on 0800 090 2309, or get in touch with us through our web chat function here:

Best Wishes
