Wht are guidelines on transferring a pallative care patient from hospital to hospital

Hi Dina,
There are no national guidelines around the
transfer of palliative patients; however there may be local ones. I would
suggest that you need to seek advice from the local PALS (Patient Advice and
Liaison Service); they offer guidance on health –related matters such as this
one. You can find your local PALS here: http://www.nhs.uk/Service-Search/Patient-advice-and-liaison-services-(PALS)/LocationSearch/363.
It may be possible to arrange a private ambulance to carry out this transfer on your behalf if it cannot be arranged through the NHS.
