    Hello Marla, thank you for your words. Believe me, I have tried every which way to take fortisips but they just weren't for me. I told myself the importance of them all the time to try and help the process but no. I relish the soups though, quite happy with those. It's a shame they don't seem to be mentioned as much especially if someone has a savoury as opposed to a sweet tooth. Regards, Joanne.

    I completely respect this, it certainly is not for everyone but suggestions will hopefully help some. Thank you for sharing your experience and what has worked for you, the soups are a great idea and another way of getting nutrition and calories in to you. I am much like yourself, and whilst I enjoy a sweet treat i would choose savory first. I feel all the suggestions made on this page will hopefully help others who may be struggling with the same issues. Take care.

    Belated thanks for all the useful responses and suggestions. I am sure that readers in all sorts of different situation will find them inspiring.


    I have also been thinking about kitchenware, tableware, cutlery, drinking containers, etc. It is tempting to think that an adjustment of implements used for food preparation and eating/drinking can help. Are there any hacks you have discovered that have worked well for you or for someone else when eating and drinking became difficult? Are there specific materials that you have used more than others (wood, glass, plastic, metal, etc.)? What was it that prompted the change, and how has the change helped you?


    I am looking forward to learning more!
