Hi everyone I’m new here! But my dad has stage 4 kidney cancer! He’s stuck home Bored and fed up! I’d like to find local help and support in terms of social activities for him!

We’re sorry to read about your dad’s diagnosis and how he’s
feeling. We are aware of a few organisations that can offer local support as
well as some that organise social activities. As we don’t know dad’s local area
or his age, we can’t signpost directly to organisations that are relevant to
him but have included some examples below of where you can look to find local
support.
Macmillan Cancer Support have a search tool on their website
where you can look to see what support is available in your local area. This ranges
from support groups, practical help and information centres. If you

Maggie’s is another charity that supports those with a cancer
diagnosis, they have a number of centres across the UK where they offer free
practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their loved
ones. You can find out more about the work they do and whether there is a

Age UK and the Royal Voluntary Service are charitable
organisations that provide local services to support older people. This can
include social activities as well as practical support. If this is relevant to
