My friend has been diagnosed with aggressive cancer of the lung and brain it is most likely to be spreading  as he is a caretaker his home comes with the job.  My question is can he be evicted from his home once he is too ill to work.

    Hello Ginga1,

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s diagnosis. It is natural to be concerned about how cancer may impact on someone’s life.

You may already be aware of the organisation Shelter. Shelter can offer advice and support for anyone with housing concerns. They have a helpline you can contact and talk to a housing adviser in the following link: http://www.shelter.org.uk/.

Macmillan Cancer Support has information on their website on being an employee with cancer including your rights at work and talking to your employer and colleagues. This information can be found here: https://www.macmillan.org.uk/information-and-support/organising/work-and-cancer .

If your friend or yourself would like a listening ear please call our Free phone Support Line on 0800 090 2309, or drop us a line via Web Chat: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help.

    Take Care
