Welcome to our Online Community

Hello everyone and welcome to our Online Community.

This is a safe, inclusive space for anyone affected by terminal illness, whether you’re living with a terminal illness yourself, are a family member, friend or carer of someone who has a terminal illness or are bereaved – everyone is welcome. This is your space to connect with people in similar situations, to share your experiences and to feel supported and heard.

I would like to introduce myself; my name is Bonnie, and I am Marie Curie’s Online Community Manager, I’m here alongside our Support Line team to support you and oversee the Online Community. We’re currently reviewing our Online Community and are actively looking for ways to improve this space, making it easier for people to connect and support each other. If you have any thoughts or feedback that you’d like to share with us, please reply directly to this post and we can let you know how you can get involved or alternatively you can email moderators@mariecurie.org.uk.

We would love to see this space develop into an active forum where people feel comfortable to share their experiences, thoughts, and ideas with others. To achieve this, we would encourage users to make this site a welcoming and safe place for all.

So why not make yourself a cuppa and head off to our welcome area to introduce yourself or join one of the groups to get started. We are a friendly bunch, and you can share as much or as little as you like.

If there’s more you would like to know about how the Online Community works then please have a look at our Online Community Guidelines, Frequently Asked Questions or simply send us any questions you have.

We look forward to chatting with you,

Marie Curie Online Community Team

Hi everyone!

My name is Hannah and I am a part of the Information and Support Line here at Marie Curie.

I hope to get the chance to hear about yourselves and your experiences, whatever you feel comfortable enough to share. I’ll be here to offer any useful information that I can and a listening ear with support if you need it.

Hope to speak soon!
