Hello everyone I'm new to this site. I lost a very dear friend to cancer in March 2017 and am struggling to cope over her loss. She was only in her 50's and had had the cancer on and off for 7 years, the grief totally consumes me at times and a year and half on doesn't seem to be getting any better , its worse if anything and I just don't know what to do at times

Harley2010, grief is an individual and personal experience and there is no fixed time span in which we stop mourning. Have you spoken to anybody about how you are feeling or considered some counselling? Many people have told us that talking can be helpful. You may want to look at some of the support that is available and you can do so here: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/support/support-directory/bereavement-support

If anybody reading this can share their experience with Harley2010 please do and Harley2010 please do feel to join in with the conversations on some of the more active threads. The Support Line is always available to chat with you via the forum or on Freephone 0800 090 2309, take care

    Brigette
