Lifting my mummy's mood

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how you cope when your loved one goes in on themselves and doesn’t want to wash/change clothes/go out or even speak to you? I’m finding it really difficult to lift my mummy and hav no idea what to do in this situation  Any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

Hi Lisa,

I am sorry to read about how low your mum is feeling. You don’t say what your mum’s condition or prognosis is but here at Marie Curie we support people living with a terminal illness. Being given the news that you have a terminal condition can be overwhelming both for your mum and yourself. You may find it helpful to look at the following sections of our website: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/terminal-illness/diagnosed and https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/help/terminal-illness/emotions .

Many people tell us that they struggle with their emotions and your Mum may find it helpful to talk to somebody about how she is feeling. If either of you would like to talk about your situation then please feel free to contact us on the Support Line- Tel 0800 090 2309.or via web chat .

Best wishes

Clare
