# Cancer biopsy after death

Does anyone know how to get a biopsy after death.
My wife of 57 years has now passed she wanted a biopsy when she was alive but they said she was too frail and there could possibly be damage caused by a needle biopsy or infection.
Now she cannot be damaged in any way how could I carry out her wishes?

Hi chrismoy,
Thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry to hear about the death of your wife.
In terms of the biopsy, I would suggest you contact the medical team who cared for her at the time of death so possibly the GP, hospital/hospice team or the funeral directors, who would hopefully be best placed to answer that question.
