I’m new to this forum. My partner was diagnosed on 31/12/25 with cancer and died on 29/1/26. No time to get his house in order. He ran a pub and we lived upstairs. Luckily the pub was in my name. I cannot afford to open as I earn more working full time. He left behind not just me and his son but also his dog which I am doing my best to care for. His life insurance has refused to pay up so I am unable to move out and I live in a very toxic neighbourhood. His son now has PTSD after experiencing his dads last moments although he is now receiving help. I have spent the last 8 months clearing out the pub but am now overwhelmed with grief and worry about how I get out of this environment.
